Shelly Pine worked in mathematics education in VA and MD for 33 years with teachers and children in kindergarten through community college. She was the president and secretary of the Virginia Council for Mathematics Supervision and lead the Region IV Math Consortium for many years. She has been employed by the Virginia Department of education In a variety of roles as standards and tests are revised. Shelly is passionate about student discourse, questioning, thinking classrooms, and number sense routines.
