
Katelyn Leitner
Dr. Katelyn Leitner is a passionate and dedicated educational leader with over a decade of experience in promoting effective teaching and learning. She is a strong advocate for doing what is best for all students and is committed to ensuring every learner has access to high-quality instruction and meaningful educational experiences. Dr. Leitner is especially passionate about coaching teachers and leaders to strengthen instructional practices, deepen student engagement, and create real-world learning opportunities that prepare students for future success. Her expertise includes the 5E instructional model, tier one instruction in 21st-century classrooms, and the implementation of evidence-based strategies that support all learners. She currently serves as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Suffolk Public Schools, where she leads efforts to improve instructional quality and student outcomes across the district. Dr. Leitner holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Liberty University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Averett University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Radford University. She remains committed to empowering educators, advocating for students, and fostering learning environments where every child can thrive.
