A National Board Certified Teacher with over three decades of experience, Amy Leftwich Moore was the Science Department Chair at Deep Run High School. In her leadership role, she mentored faculty, oversaw curriculum development, and managed departmental operations. An expert educator, Amy has taught a wide range of courses from middle school science to AP Biology and AP Environmental Science. She is a recognized leader in her field, having developed curriculum for Henrico County Public Schools, developed and delivered professional learning for a variety of audiences, and presented at the National Science Teachers Association. Amy holds a B.A. in Biology, an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, and is passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientific thinkers.
